Coach Cornell Bowen
COACH CORNELL BOWEN
Coach Cornell Bowen was a highly respected Art teacher and Coach of the wrestling team. He coached the 1969/1970 wrestling team to the Suburban North Championship with seniors Dennis Henley and Tom McDonough representing RGHS at the State Tournament in Kansas City.
Mr. Bowen was also one of our Senior Class Sponsors. The last time most of us saw Coach Bowen was at our 40th Reunion in 2010.
Sadly Mr. Bowen passed on July 9, 2017 at 82. His wife Christine preceded him in death. He is survived by his children Clint Bowen wife Amy, Kelly Schnellgoecke husband Shaun, Kristen Pohlman husband Matt and 2 grandchildren.
We will greatly miss Coach Bowen.
